Where I Source My Beads & Sequins

I’ve gotten a few questions about where I found my beads and sequins, so I thought I’d put together a little post with the basics. I am still very much building my collection and am always open to learning about other places to shop!

Cartwright's Sequins — my #1 pick for sequins

First off, Cartwright's Sequins is one of the best places to shop for sequins. The selection is huge, the prices are great. My personal favorite is their Happy Mix — it's a little bit of everything, and sorting through it feels like a treasure hunt in itself.

‍They also carry a great range of seed beads - I’ve tried their Miyuki seed beads primarily (mostly size 11/0). I’ve found their prices are much better than Amazon's for seed beads in most cases.

Your local bead/craft store

‍My next recommendation: check out a bead or craft store near you. Here in the Pacific Northwest, I shop at a store called Craft Warehouse — their bead section is small but mighty. Michael’s also has some decent beads. A few reasons I love this option:

1. Shopping local supports the local economy — always a win

2. You can actually see the beads in person — size, color, and finish can be hard to judge from a photo. Plus, to my surprise, I found that prices at Craft Warehouse were actually lower than Amazon for most items!

For the odds and ends I can't find at Cartwright's or my local store, I’ve been turning to Amazon. I found Amazon links for beads/sequins/materials I actually own and use!
